Modernity is the vital part of discussion in this weeks material. Modernity in its entirety if quite interesting to me and I feel the topic as whole doesn’t get discussed very often. He talks about how only certain parts of the traditional definition are included in the Mexican execution. Elites wanted the “look and feel” of modernity, to be like Western Europe.
